No it doesn't. There are 8 staff members, 2 involved in the deal. That leaves 6 voting staff members. If the 2 remaining staff members who haven't voted (Detroit and Chicago), reject that would leave it at 3 accepts and 3 rejects. So this trade needs 1 more accept to be approved.

We tried everything we could under the salary cap. When LAC can't get Tim Thomas for Steve Blake basically...we had to get creative. Your call on your principle's, but we try to have these Sim Leagues be fun, and each of the 3 managers in this deal have been in sims for a long time, and we all know what we're doing. If you have any problem with the values in the trades, that's one thing, though I think even then, it's hard to argue too much anywhere. Prince, Nocioni, and Calderon's values have all dropped a lot in the last year or so, and they're all overpaid. Anyway, 3 -1, and since there are two staff members involved in the trade, isn't 3 enough to approve the trade? Or do we have like 9 staff now? It's not changing my opinion on the trade...and IMO it's curcumventing the rules on salary cap by making 2 trades to swap a few players then trading back most of the original pieces. If that's the way the league is run ... so be it, just don't expect any accepts from me on trades like this.

I assume you're talking about this thing here... For two months after receiving the player in trade or claiming him off waivers, if the player is being traded in combination with other players. However, the team is free to trade the player by himself (not packaged with other players) immediately. This restriction applies only to teams over the salary cap. (Also see question number 75 for a special case where players can be traded together in less than two months.) Since OKC is the only one over the cap, we can still get around this if you want. OKC trades out Prince for Calderon to save money this year and get his backup PG back. OKC makes a 3rd trade and deals out Blake for Nocioni or something like that, since he doesn't need Blake anymore with Calderon, and he wants what Nocioni brings to the table. Point is, if you really want us to, we'll find a way to do it, even under a rule that has never been enforced in any of the 10+ Sim Leagues I've ever been in or heard of. Your call. We spent hours yesterday getting this to work. If you want to try and destroy the fun of the league, which for most managers is trading and getting players they like...well your call. You would just be hurting the activity of the league, which is the last thing any of us wants. I'm not trying to destroy anything and I take offense to that statement!!! The league is supposed to mirror the NBA as much as possible, not CHEAT to get a deal done!! W/E!! I'm just saying, and this is MY opinion and no one elses, that there is a rule in the NBA that is set up specifically for this sort of backdoor trading! That's it..nothing more to say on this issue accept, it will ALWAYS be a no from me on ANY trade like this...period!

Wow, CAPS and Exclamation Marks! Don't take it so seriously buddy, for real. I respect your opinion, I just think it makes trading harder, and thus hurts activity. Yea, it is slightly "cheating the system" in a way, but in the end, it doesn't hurt anybody. And other than that one rule that no one has ever mentioned before, it even works under all the other salary rules.
Anyway, let's get more staff votes then. Right now it's 3-1 Accept.

BTW, Chicago seems to be the only other active Staff Member at this point. Let's hope he accepts, b/c if not, I'm not sure when we'll get another vote.

LOL as I said earlier... W/E I'm done with anymore voting on trades such as this or better yet...ALL trades! Thanx

Good lord guys, 2 pages on one trade? Im moving this to rejected, re-post the trade. All I want is a simple accept or reject with a SHORT explanation and NO REBUTTAL by people involved in the trade.

This will be the first league I've ever been in where people can not defend their own trades.
Interesting route to take DET, can't say I agree with it but it's your league.
